Privacy Policy
Introduction
BuildScale (“BuildScale,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our website (buildscale.io), our contact and project intake forms, and our services, and how we use and protect it.
By using our website or submitting information through our forms, you agree to the practices described here.
Who We Are
ProxyGist LLC, doing business as BuildScale, is a limited liability company in the United States and is the business responsible for the personal information described in this policy. We build websites, web applications, and digital marketing systems for local and regional businesses, and serve clients in the U.S. You can reach us at [email protected].
Information We Collect
Information You Provide
We collect information you voluntarily give us, including when you:
- Contact us — your name, email, company, and the details of your message.
- Complete our project intake form (at buildscale.io/start) — your business name, contact name, email, phone, website, services, business details, design preferences, and related project information you choose to share.
- Communicate with us by email or through the chat assistant on our site.
- Become a client — billing details and the content and assets you send us for your project.
Information Collected Automatically
When you visit our website, some information is collected automatically:
- Usage and device data — IP address, browser type, pages visited, and similar analytics data.
- Local storage — our intake form saves your in-progress answers in your browser so you can finish later. This stays on your device and is not sent to us until you submit.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your inquiries and provide our services.
- Prepare quotes, agreements, and deliver projects.
- Communicate with you about your project, including updates and follow-ups.
- Process payments and keep business records.
- Improve our website and protect it from spam and abuse.
Payments
Payments are handled by Stripe. When you pay a deposit or invoice, your payment details are submitted directly to Stripe and processed under Stripe’s own privacy policy. We receive a record of the transaction (amount, date, status) but not your full card information.
Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as needed to respond to you, deliver and support your project, meet legal and accounting obligations, and maintain business records. When it is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.
Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (SSL) and trusted infrastructure providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Rights
You may contact us to:
- Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct or update your information.
- Ask us to delete your information, subject to our legal and record-keeping obligations.
- Opt out of non-essential communications.
To make a request, email [email protected] (putting “Privacy Request” in the subject line helps us route it quickly). We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we will respond within a reasonable time, typically within 30 days. We may decline or limit a request where the law allows — for example, to meet our legal, accounting, or record-keeping obligations.
Children’s Privacy
Our website and services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last Updated” date at the top reflects the latest version. Continued use of our website after changes means you accept the updated policy.
