Privacy Policy

Last Updated: June 23, 2026

Version: 1.0

Introduction

BuildScale (“BuildScale,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our website (buildscale.io), our contact and project intake forms, and our services, and how we use and protect it.

By using our website or submitting information through our forms, you agree to the practices described here.

Who We Are

ProxyGist LLC, doing business as BuildScale, is a limited liability company in the United States and is the business responsible for the personal information described in this policy. We build websites, web applications, and digital marketing systems for local and regional businesses, and serve clients in the U.S. You can reach us at [email protected].

Information We Collect

Information You Provide

We collect information you voluntarily give us, including when you:

  • Contact us — your name, email, company, and the details of your message.
  • Complete our project intake form (at buildscale.io/start) — your business name, contact name, email, phone, website, services, business details, design preferences, and related project information you choose to share.
  • Communicate with us by email or through the chat assistant on our site.
  • Become a client — billing details and the content and assets you send us for your project.

Information Collected Automatically

When you visit our website, some information is collected automatically:

  • Usage and device data — IP address, browser type, pages visited, and similar analytics data.
  • Local storage — our intake form saves your in-progress answers in your browser so you can finish later. This stays on your device and is not sent to us until you submit.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your inquiries and provide our services.
  • Prepare quotes, agreements, and deliver projects.
  • Communicate with you about your project, including updates and follow-ups.
  • Process payments and keep business records.
  • Improve our website and protect it from spam and abuse.

How We Share Information

We share information only as needed to operate our business — with the service providers listed below, when required by law, or to protect our rights. We do not sell or rent your information to third parties for their marketing.

Service Providers We Use

We rely on trusted third parties to run our services, each processing only the data needed for its function. Our current providers are listed below; this list may change as our tooling evolves, and we use comparable providers for the same purposes:

  • Resend — sends transactional and notification emails (e.g. your form submission, our confirmation reply).
  • Stripe — processes payments and invoices. Card details go directly to Stripe; we never see or store full card numbers.
  • Vercel — hosts our website and provides basic analytics.
  • Upstash — provides rate limiting to protect our forms from abuse (stores only short-lived request counts).
  • Google Analytics — helps us understand site traffic.
  • Microsoft Clarity — provides aggregated analytics and session recordings (clicks, scrolls, page navigation) to help us improve the site. Sensitive input fields are masked by default.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for targeted advertising. We use analytics services (such as Google Analytics) only to understand how our site is used.

Payments

Payments are handled by Stripe. When you pay a deposit or invoice, your payment details are submitted directly to Stripe and processed under Stripe’s own privacy policy. We receive a record of the transaction (amount, date, status) but not your full card information.

Cookies & Local Storage

We use a small amount of cookies and browser local storage to make the site work, remember your language, and save your in-progress intake form. Analytics providers may set their own cookies. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not work as well. To opt out of Google Analytics specifically, you can install Google’s opt-out browser add-on or use your browser’s privacy controls.

Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as needed to respond to you, deliver and support your project, meet legal and accounting obligations, and maintain business records. When it is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (SSL) and trusted infrastructure providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Rights

You may contact us to:

  • Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct or update your information.
  • Ask us to delete your information, subject to our legal and record-keeping obligations.
  • Opt out of non-essential communications.

To make a request, email [email protected] (putting “Privacy Request” in the subject line helps us route it quickly). We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we will respond within a reasonable time, typically within 30 days. We may decline or limit a request where the law allows — for example, to meet our legal, accounting, or record-keeping obligations.

Children’s Privacy

Our website and services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last Updated” date at the top reflects the latest version. Continued use of our website after changes means you accept the updated policy.
